Adriano Ferraz works in negotiation, structuring and implementation of mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, tax and succession planning, capital markets and company recovery. In recent years, he has participated in numerous investment operations and restructurings of business groups, advising national and international clients, including in the capital markets, advising on the issuance of debentures, promissory notes and other securities.
In addition, he advises several clients in corporate and business disputes, having sponsored legal cases involving relevant business groups.
His experience includes extensive participation in corporate operations in the energy sector, having coordinated the acquisition of hydroelectric plants and wind and solar energy plants, as well as acting as a Corporate Law consultant for large companies in this sector. He is also heavily involved in operations in specialized sectors such as technology, retail, healthcare, real estate and mining.
Adriano is a professor of the subjects “Mergers and Acquisitions”, “Business Contracts” and “Capital Markets” at the postgraduate level, LL.M. Corporate Law and MBA from IBMEC and was co-author of the works “Sociedades Anônimas e Mercado de Capitalis: Estudos em Homagem ao Prof. Osmar Brina Corrêa-Lima” (Quartier Latin, 2011), “Investment Funds – Legal, Regulatory and Tax Aspects” (Quartier Latin, 2015) and “The Removal and Appointment of Administrator by the Judiciary” (CONPEDI, 2015). Furthermore, he is the founder and coordinator of the Business Law Study Group at the UFMG Law School.
